Harleston at War

This walk will show how Harleston was subject to two invasions; firstly the potential threat from the Nazi army, then an actual and friendly one by the Americans in WWII. Aspects of life at the time will be revealed, and the significance of key places pointed out and their story told, ‘lest we forget’. So, for both visitors and locals this is an opportunity to see a unique aspect of the town’s past.
